Peter Bowyer

Ten Untitled Sculptures

This sculpture is located on the river behind the Ferguson Cottage on the river walk.

Peter Bowyer studied sculpture in London, UK, in the 1970’s with members of the New Generation group. He has been based in Toronto since 1980, where he was a founding member of Cold City Gallery. His ten steel sculptures are good examples of his early constructivist work, made in 1981 while he was an artist in residence at Sculpture Space Inc. in Utica, New York. These pieces were first exhibited at Mercer Union, Toronto, in 1982 and were installed in the CSG garden in 2004.
